Safe Passage Campaign
First, please review the Organize Your Workplace page to get familiar with some basic information.

Organizing is about workers coming together to create safer workplaces, better conditions, and a stronger voice on the job. When workers unite, we win real improvements for ourselves, our families, and our communities. Our union organizers have helped workers secure major victories, including with CPS Miscellaneous Workers and the Savoy Fire Department. We did so by standing together and taking action collectively.
Why Organizing Safe Passage Matters
Safe Passage workers play a critical role in protecting students and keeping communities safe every day. Organizing helps ensure these jobs remain sustainable, respected, and protected for the future. By building a union together, Safe Passage workers can fight for: long-term job stability, higher wages, and benefits.
Your Rights Matter
Talking with coworkers about forming a union is protected by law. It is illegal for your employer to punish, intimidate, or retaliate against you for organizing or supporting a union effort. The strongest unions are built through conversations between coworkers. Share this information with fellow community watchers and help grow a stronger Safe Passage network.
Learn more about your rights by checking out our organizing rights flyer below.
