Elmhurst District 205 Custodial Workers Clean Up in New Contract

The custodial workers at Elmhurst 205 School District won their latest contract, winning benefits including fixed insurance premium contributions, longevity pay, and retirement stipends.

For wages, the workers won a $4.25 increase over four years. Other benefits won include increased life insurance coverage and an extra personal day.

“This contract’s great because it opens the door for more opportunities. We’re in a better position now to keep improving in the future,” said Mayela Ruiz, custodian and bargaining committee member.
