In Memoriam: Jessica Williams

It is with a heavy heart I must share news about the tragic death of Jessica Williams. This proud mother of two was a Building Service Worker at Stroger Hospital and a valued member of our union, who rarely took time for herself as she was often focused on her children, family, and her work. 

While taking time to celebrate her birthday with her family in New Orleans, Jessica was the victim of gun violence. Her younger sister was also injured and is recovering in the hospital.

Local 73 sends our deepest condolences to Jessica’s friends, family, and coworkers during this difficult time.
