Big Wage Increase in New Contract for Hinsdale Custodial and Maintenance Workers

Hinsdale Township High School District #86 Custodial and Maintenance workers have secured a big wage increase of 12% in the first year of their new contract. In addition to the wage increases in the three-year contract, workers also gained an increase in the boot allowance, and five more vacation days for a majority of the unit.
“Paid leave time is important for these vital employees to care for themselves and their families,” said Joseph Richert, Local 73 Secretary-Treasurer. “They keep the schools clean, safe, and functioning for students and staff.”
