Chicago Housing Authority Contract Brings Wage Increases, Longevity Pay for Workers

The new four-year contract ratified by Chicago Housing Authority workers will provide 16% in wage increases and for the first time, longevity bonuses for workers who have served for 10-40 plus years.

The new contract also includes a one-time allocation of eight additional paid sick days, the result an arbitration SEIU Local 73 won for violation of contract vacation benefits. Workers also won an employer match to the 457 (b) plan as well as a ratification bonus.
