Workers in the City of Berwyn have won multiple new benefits under their new collective bargaining agreement negotiated by SEIU Local 73. In addition to annual pay increases the new contract includes a $7,500 salary adjustment for booking agents, a $1 per hour increase in the overnight shift wage, and a $2 per hour salary adjustment for community service officers.

“Our contract contains significant gains in pay and benefits that recognize our value, service and partnership with the City of Berwyn and to the citizens in a time where these items are of an uncertainty,” said Community Service Officer and Chief Steward Wayne Lindwall. “Our union has been critical in achieving and guaranteeing these wins by giving us the strength and courage to put differences aside so that we may work together in achieving the best contract for our members.”
