Bargaining into the night, but ready to keep fighting in the morning!

cook-county-strike-5

The Local 73 bargaining team has been hard at work negotiating all day with Cook County representatives. In fact, they are currently still in bargaining as we type this.

This strike has put us in a position to come out with the fair contract we have long deserved. Our goal is to settle this contract tonight, but we cannot control the actions of Cook County management. We will nevertheless stay strong and fight!

If necessary, we must be prepared to be on the picket line tomorrow at 8 a.m.! The bargaining committee is committed to going deep into the night. If a deal is not reached, we are counting on you to continue showing the strength that has gotten us this far by marching on the picket lines at Stroger Hospital, County Jail, and downtown (118 N. Clark/69 W. Washington) at 8 a.m. Let’s show County President Preckwinkle that our strength has no limits, that our hope has no ceiling, and that our livelihoods demand justice.
