After nearly two years of negotiations and a strike on April 4, non-tenure track faculty at Loyola University Chicago reached a tentative agreement with the administration on a first union contract Monday night. The bargaining committee overwhelmingly voted to recommend ratification to their colleagues in the bargaining unit. The ratification vote will be held on April 19 and April 20.

The tentative agreement comes just days after non-tenure track faculty at the University of Chicago ratified their first union contract, marking significant milestones in the fight to improve higher education in Chicago and across Illinois through the SEIU Faculty Forward campaign. Faculty at both campuses are represented by SEIU Local 73.
