Housing Authority of Cook County Lock in Strong New Contract

Congratulations to Housing Authority of Cook County (HACC) workers who recently ratified their contract with overwhelming support!

This is a four year agreement for both maintenance and administrative units.

Here are some highlights of the new agreement: 

– For the first time ever, HACC members now have wage scales that are based on seniority!
Honoring seniority helps retain more workers, creating more job stability for our members.

– Some members will be receiving as much as a 25% increase over the length of the contract 

– The average increase in wages is between $6k-$15k over the life of the contract 

– Stronger language on training and overtime 

– HVAC certificate pay and reimbursement for completing courses 

– For maintenance workers, we changed seniority pay language so they get more pay earlier on after 15 years of service
