Flik International Food Service Workers Celebrate Best Contract Yet

On March 18, Flik International Workers voted unanimously to ratify their new contract.
After three months of bargaining, workers reached an agreement with management and won a $4 hourly wage increase over the life of the contract with a cost of living adjustment, more affordable health insurance plans, additional sick days, paid bereavement, and notice of shift changes from management.

“I’m really happy with our new contract. Now we won’t have to wait as long to accrue vacation time and we have higher wages. With this new contract, management is taking better care of us and making us feel appreciated,” said Max Spada, Catering Attendant, bargaining committee member, and union steward.
