Custodial & Maintenance Workers at Cicero School District 99 Secure Strong Contract!

Congratulations to the workers at Cicero SD #99 on winning a major contract victory!
Here are the details of your contract wins:
Insurance:
*Full timers +$3750 if eligible for Single but not enrolled in District’s healthcare
*+$5625 if eligible for Family but only enrolls in Single
*+$7500 if eligible for Family but doesn’t enroll in District’s healthcare
The probationary period was slashed from 12 months to 9 months.
We doubled the cell phone stipend for Head Custodians.
Attendance incentives:
Perfect attendance from July 1 – December 31 = $750
Perfect attendance from January 1 to June 30 = $750
Tuition reimbursement:
$25,000 per year for the unit, up to $2500 per person
A total end to RANDOM drug testing!
WAGES: This is a 5-year contract
CUSTODIANS
$29k – $50,999.99= +$6k to base pay
$51,000 – $64,999.99 +$4k to base pay
$65k+ = 2% raise
4% each year
Cap raised from $50k to $65k
HEAD CUSTODIANS
$51k – $70,999.99 = +$5k
$71k – $89.999.99 = +$4k
$95k+ = 2%
Cap raised from $75k to $95k
