West Aurora School District Workers Ratify Contract!

Congratulations to the workers at West Aurora School District for ratifying a strong contract.

Here are some of the highlights of this new agreement:

*2 year wage increase of 6%, with floor of 2.5% and ceiling of 5% in following 2 years. 

*All bargaining unit members who are active employees on Sept. 30, 2024 will receive a one-time $1000 stipend in December of 2024. 

*Full time employees gained a paid lunch break

*Added two additional review periods for probationary employees to give them an opportunity to improve. 

*Increased boot allowance from $200 to $500. 

*New employee orientation extended from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
