Local 73’s Voices: Thomas Hibbler, Custodian @ Ford Heights School District #169

SEIU Local 73 represents more than 31,000 people, each with their own story to tell. “Local 73’s Voices” aims to highlight what makes our members so incredible. From what it means to be part of a union to what inspires their actions, we shine a light on the people who make our Local as unique as it is.

Thomas Hibbler has a message to share. As a custodian with over 15 years of classroom experience, Thomas is a positive role model who empowers his students to achieve their goals. Being a mentor allows him to use his life-long love of music to show young people that anything is possible through hard work. Thomas also hosts a radio show that allows him to discuss current events and play his favorite tunes.
