Berwyn Custodians Unanimously Approve New Contract

Custodians in Berwyn North School District 98 unanimously approved their new five-year contract.

Custodians won 13% in pay raises over the life of the contract including full retroactive pay for the first year.  By the end of the contract, the average salary for members will increase to $68,500.

“Our hard-working members at Berwyn North School District 98 kept schools clean and running throughout the pandemic,” said SEIU Local 73 President Dian Palmer. “This contract is a step towards treating custodians like the essential workers that they are.”
