GCA Lake Ridge Workers Gain Wage Increases in New Contract

Building service, custodial, and maintenance workers overwhelming approved their new three-year contract between SEIU Local 73 and GCA Education and Lake Ridge School Corporation in Indiana. The new contract includes an increase to the starting wage and annual wage increases of 3% plus a $0.20 per hour wage increase.

“Thanks to our union, SEIU Local 73, we’re getting the recognition and payment for our services that we deserve,” said Stephen Ellevan, Janitor at Lake Ridge Schools. “We word hard to keep our schools functioning for our students.”

The contract also includes payment for travel time if called back to work after a normal shift and after leaving the job site premises.
