Chicago Park District Bargaining Committee Elections
Bargaining Committee Elections Process
Your voice matters. Together we will win a strong contract.
Our current contract with the Chicago Park District will expire on December 31, 2018. We work in many areas in the district as hourly workers and monthly workers. We serve as attendants, in accounts, cashiers. admins, security officers, instructors, rec leaders, foremen, inclusion aides supervisors and more. We are demanding:
- Fair and liveable wages for all workers
- A fair promotion process
- Proper staffing levels
- Better benefits for hourlies
The first step in assuring we win is by electing our Bargaining Committee. Your participation is crucial if we are to demand versus beg for a fair contract. You will be electing 14 co-workers to represent your union in the contract negotiations with the Chicago Park District. Elections will be held on Thursday, October 4 from 9:30-11:30am and 5:30-7:30pm in the following locations:
Welles Park, 2333 W. Sunnyside Ave.
Shabbona Park, 6935 W. Addison St.
Homan Square, 3559 W. Arthington St.
Foster Park, 1440 W. 84th St.
Grand Crossing Park, 7655 S. Ingleside Ave.
Local 73 Office, 300 S. Ashland Ave., 4th Fl.
