Cook County votes overwhelmingly to ratify new contract!

Local 73 Cook County members wrapped up months of tough negotiations and have ratified a new contract! A special thank you to the dedicated member leaders for their hard work. Cook County workers are incredibly grateful for everyone who turned out to voice their opinion on the contract. We had a great turn out at the ballot box and made some great strides in the contract including:

  • $1200 bonus to be paid to all active SEIU local 73 members 30 days after Cook County Board of Commissioners approves the new CBA in the budget.
  • 2% across-the-board raises in 2019, effective June 1, 2019
  • 2% across-the-board raises in in 2020, effective June 1, 2020
