On Wednesday, December 13, Local 73 Cook County members came together to host a Coat Drive that spread holiday cheer and benefit families with limited resources.

Members stopped by throughout the day to drop off their gently used coats, scarves, and other winter accessories. Cook County stewards played a vital role in collecting donations and spreading the word about the event. All items were donated to Cradles to Crayons, an organization that provides children living in homelessness or low-income households with the essential items they need to thrive.

“During the holiday season, it’s important for union members to give back to their communities. We are proud of our members who stepped up and provided some relief for families in need,” said President Dian Palmer.
