I have been part of the union for several years. After joining, I discovered that we need is a Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) to match some of the taxes that continue to go up. Match the pay for tax increases to and from work, school, and shopping. The national average of COLA is 1.6%. I believe we can have a COLA allowance and get that in the new contract.
