Verna Thompson, Candidate for the Municipal Employees Pension Board

Verna Thompson, 12 yr City of Chicago employee, SEIU Local 73 Steward and member activist.

We are pleased to announce Verna Thompson as a candidate for the Municipal Employees Pension Board in Chicago.

Verna is an experienced SEIU Local 73 Steward and member activist. She is a dedicated 12-year employee of the City of Chicago that works in the Office of Emergency Management and Communications and attended Northeastern IL University. She is committed to being the guardian of members interests who are in the Municipal Fund and ensuring that when workers retire, they can depend on a pension they have worked hard to earn.

All active members of the Municipal Employees Annuity and Benefit Fund of Chicago are eligible to vote and sign a petition to get Verna on the ballot.
