Every year, workers contact Local 73 in hopes of forming a union. They look to address better job conditions, safer work environments, better benefits, and an improved life for themselves, their families and the communities they serve.
As unemployment, furlough days and new threats of layoffs continue to haunt the lives of workers, our union is participating in a broad based effort to fight for a fair economy. We will unite all who can be united to fight against corporate and political interests and people that enrich themselves on the backs of poor people. We will be working hard to lend our organizing strength to help other non-union workers join an organization that will fight for them for the first time.
