My relationship with SEIU 73 spans 35 years, 16 as a member/ custodian at Cicero School District, and 19 years as a Staff member As a member I was involved with the Locals Member Organizing Committee, organizing workers. I attended and graduated from DePaul University’s Labor Education Program. I was on the Committee of Local 1 members that negotiated the merger of the public sector from Local 1 into Local 73. In 2000 I accepted an organizer position with Local 73, over the years I’ve held many positions, representative, assistant and division director, and vice president I have tried to represent members the way that I wanted to be represented when I was a member. I am confident that I have the skill, ability and knowledge to insure that the finances of the Local are maintained responsibly and legally. I proudly represent all the members of Local 73 in Illinois and Indiana and continue the fight for social and economic justice, safe working conditions, respect, and dignity. I am excited about 73 Rising Slate, we are experienced, diverse, have a clear plan and vision, and moving in the right direction. I humbly ask for your vote!
