As a member of SEIU Local 73 you are united with more than 29,000 workers in Illinois and Indiana. We do vital work in the fields of education, health care, public safety, and other public services. We are a proud union family.
We are workers in Chicago Public Schools, Chicago Park Districts, City of Chicago, Cook County, Secretary of State, Tollway, school districts outside of Chicago, municipalities outside of Chicago, higher education, social services, Northwest Indiana, fire departments, museum, harbors, and zoo.
We are in the process of uploading all of our contracts from the different worksites. Visit our Contracts page to view the contracts available. As a union we bargain for better health insurance, we have won guaranteed pensions, we have rights and protections, and we use our collective power to win. By being an active member you are building our power to win the wages, benefits, and working conditions that we deserve. Our power to win on all issues that matter to working people is only as strong as our union. And our union is only as strong as our members.
Local 73 is an organization in which active members make a positive different where they work and where they live. If you are interested in learning more about how you can take an active role in our union talk to your steward or organizer. You’ll be able to sign up to:
