The Board informed us that the CTU members had their steps increases frozen and as a result of their last contract agreement the Board is now reinstating their step increases and giving them retro back pay to July 1, 2016. Unlike the CTU members, we did not have our steps frozen. Therefore, we are not entitled to retro pay.
This retro pay is not tied to the 2% wage increase that we did not receive in 2016. The “Me Too Clause” regarding the wage increases is still in effect and will be in effect until the end of our contract.
