The Union and the City of Chicago have reached an agreement!

On September 27, 2011, on the second scheduled day of arbitration, the City & Union came to an agreement that will allow the laid off TCA’s (full-time employees) to bid into 100 job vacancies throughout Unit II.

Part of the agreement is to reinstate all of the full time employees health coverage to cover four (4) months, retroactive back to August 16, 2011.

In addition, the TCAH’s that were laid off after the full-time employees will now be able to return to work and work up to thirteen (1300) hours each year or six hundred and fifty (650) each 6 months.
